Peter Angele is a professor of regenerative joint therapy at the University Hospital in Regensburg. He was trained at the University of Ulm in Germany, graduating in 1994. His orthopedic residency was spent at the Sporthopaedicum Straubing and in the Department of Trauma Surgery, University Hospital, Regensburg, Germany. He became a board-certified specialist in surgery in 2001, trauma surgery in 2004, and orthopedic surgery in 2006. From 2001 to 2008, he worked as a consultant at the Department of Trauma Surgery at the University Hospital in Regensburg. He was appointed Head of Knee Surgery in 2008. Since 2008, he has also been a partner at the Sporthopaedicum Regensburg and, since 2009, the director of the “FIFA Centre of Excellence for Football Medicine” in Regensburg.
