Mario Pirisi is full professor of Internal Medicine at the Università del Piemonte Orientale (UPO) and head of the Internal Medicine Division at the Maggiore della Carità University Hospital in Novara, Italy. Major research interests of his group include the study of liver diseases, clinical immunology, and dysmetabolic diseases.
