Prof. Dr. Jonghoon Kim received his PhD in 2014 from Seoul National University under the mentorship of Prof. Seung Bum Park. Following his PhD, he pursued postdoctoral research with Prof. Michael E. Jung at the University of California, Los Angeles. In 2019, he began his academic journey in the Department of Chemistry at Soongsil University, Seoul, Korea. His research interests encompass the creation of innovative fluorescent molecules for sensory applications, the development of bioactive small molecules with potential therapeutic uses, and the engineering of proteins to produce synthetic enzymes.
