Weidong Han is an Associate Professor at the School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. In 2003, he received a bachelor's degree in medicine from Zhejiang University School of Medicine. In the same year, he entered the Oncology Institute of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. In 2008, he received a doctorate in oncology. His doctoral thesis won the National Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Nomination Award. In 2008, he entered the Medical Oncology Department of Shaw Hospital Affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and has been working ever since. From 2011 to 2012, he went to the City of Hope Medical Center in the United States for collaborative research. His current main research direction is the role of autophagy in tumor development and anti-tumor treatment.
