The paper compares the effectiveness of two methods application for detecting and recognizing micro-objects in an aqua environment on the example of plankton using neural networks and various technologies and developed in different programming languages. At first the traditional detection method was investigated and applied based on the extraction of Gabor and multilayer perceptron features, realized in MATrixLABoratory (MATLAB) language. Secondly, YOLOv5 (an acronym for ‘You only look once’), as a single-stage neural network was used which was implemented in Python language. The results of the work of these methods for the plankton detection are presented. Accuracy and completeness metrics are calculated to determine best of two methods. Images with the recognition result, programmatically calculated performance metrics were obtained after using the detection methods. The study was conducted on the effectiveness of method applications for realtime recognition using short video images. In conclusion it is stated that the YOLOv5 model has shown significant superiority over the traditional method in the task of detecting marine objects, in particular plankton. Its accuracy was 30% higher; the completeness of object detection was 27% higher.
The article deals with physiological (adaptive potential, resistance to hypoxia and stress stimuli) and psycho physiological (level of sociability) factors that contribute to the formation of the student's personality. As part of presented study, first-year students of Sevastopol State University were diagnosed (28 people, of which: 14 girls and 14 boys) according to the following indicators: level of adaptive potential; human resistance to hypoxia; attention and speed of information processing; resistance of a person to the action of stressful stimuli; level of person’s communication skills. A comparative analysis of the components of the adaptive potential of the individual and the levels of psychological well-being among first-year students of a higher educational institution was carried out. The paper also presents the results of a study of first-year students in terms of their sociability (not sociable, average level of sociability, normal sociability, very sociable, hyperactive. Based on the results of given study, a comprehensive description was given to first-year students (the number of students who underwent diagnostics is 28 people). In conclusion the authors say that a high students’ adaptive potential ensures their successful adaptation to the group and learning activities because of appropriate neuropsychic stability, and developed communication skills.

The article introduces the history and prospects of spiritual and moral education. The authors identified the pedagogical possibilities of ethnic culture and its inclusion in the system of spiritual and moral education. The analysis was based on the scientific potential proven by historical practice. It provided an objective assessment of the genesis of spiritual and moral education in its dynamics. As a pedagogical tool, ethnic culture is a treasure trove of moral and ethical value orientations and life meanings. The article clarifies the concepts of spiritual and moral education and ethnic culture, as well as identifies the ways of developing the spiritual and moral potential of university students. The research relied on the fundamental standards developed by the leading educationalists. It identified the place of ethnic culture in the system of spiritual and moral education developed by the specific cultural and historical conditions and based on the invaluable experience of the life of the people. Ethnic culture finds its expression in the requirements for the content of spiritual and moral education. The research makes it possible to use the academic and educational potential of extracurricular activities in the spiritual and moral education of university students.
The article analyzes the ways digital teaching implementation during the process of foreign language learning by future environmental engineers. The relevance of the work is the need of society for highly qualified specialists with foreign language communication skills. The theoretical significance of the study is in the fact that ways of digital teaching implementation are considered. The practical significance of given paper is in the development of electronic educational and methodological complexes for various levels on the Moodle platform education during the process of foreign language learning, which allow to stimulate the desire for students’ motivation to success, effectively organize independent activities and enhance students’ cognitive activity. “Motivation of success and fear of failure (questionnaire of A. A. Rean)” was applied in the empirical study. The results showed that learning in virtual reality leads to increased motivation and involvement of students in the learning process. It is concluded that the competent organization of independent work in a virtual educational environment and the use of modern tools improve the quality of future environmental engineers’ professional training.
