Gareth W. Davison is a Professor of Exercise Biochemistry and Physiology, Director of Research at the Sport and Exercise Sciences Research Institute, and Director of the Exercise Biochemistry and Physiology Research Laboratories at Ulster. He holds a BA, an MSc, and an MS in Genomic Medicine from University of Cambridge and was awarded his PhD in Biochemistry and Physiology in 2002. He is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and has published widely in the area of exercise biochemistry and medicine. He sits on several journal editorial boards and is the current Physiology and Nutrition Executive Editor at the Journal of Sports Science. His research interests include exercise-induced modifications to DNA.
