Francesca Iacobellis, MD, PhD, works as a radiologist at "Antonio Cardarelli" Hospital in Naples, Italy, with particular interests in emergency radiology and abdominal imaging. She graduated and then completed radiology training and a Ph.D. at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Naples, Italy. Her clinical research interests are mainly focused on traumatic and non-traumatic abdominal emergencies and pelvic-floor pathologies; furthermore, she is also interested in preclinical research. She is an active member of European Society of Radiology, ESR (Chairperson of the Emergency Radiology Subcommittee of ECR 2022) and of the European Society of Emergency Radiology, ESER (ESER Secretary 2021–2025) and is a board member of the Emergency Radiology Section of the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology (SIRM).
