Professor Jeffrey Soar is the Chair of Human-Centred Technology at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He has degrees in ICT, agriculture, social science and education. He came to academia from a career in senior executive leadership roles in the industry in Australia and New Zealand, where he managed large-scale ICT development and implementation. In academia, his research has been supported by more than 50 research grants including 7 prestigious Australian Research Council grants. His current research interests include AI innovation and application including applications for future foods and climate sustainability.
