Dr. Ardvin Kester S. Ong is a faculty member of the School of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, Mapúa University, Philippines. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, a Master’s degree in Engineering Management, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, all obtained from Mapúa University. In addition, Dr. Ong was an exchange student for his graduate research which he conducted at the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), Taiwan, ROC. He received a perfect general weighted average of 1.00/1.00 during his Ph.D. Dr. Ong has been published in several SCI/SSCI-abstracted papers in reputable journals such as Foods (MDPI), Sustainability (MDPI), Nuclear Engineering and Technology (Elsevier), the International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction (Elsevier), Utilities Policy (Elsevier), and the International Journal of Science Education (Taylor & Francis Online). His research interests are focused on supply chain optimization, consumer preferences, marketing strategies, human factors and engineering focusing on consumer behavior, as well as data mining and analytics.
