Dr. Giovanni Meccariello currently works as a researcher at the Institute of Sciences and Technologies for Sustainable Energy and Mobility (STEMS), Italian National Research Council. He received his Ph.D. in Transport at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. He does research in Transportation Engineering and Environmental Engineering. His research field of interest includes multivariate statistical analysis and soft computing methods for modeling driving cycles and emissions of vehicles in real use with special concern to vehicle mission profile in urban areas and exhaust emissions evaluation. Currently, he participates in comparative LCA activities on life cycle analysis of vehicles with alternative engines and technologies.
