Anna Taglienti is a researcher at the Research Centre for Plant Protection and Certification and the Council for Agricultural Research and Economics, and a scientist at the European Union Reference Laboratory for Virology. She graduated in Chemistry in 2002 and obtained her Ph.D. in chemical processes in 2006 at University of Rome "La Sapienza", Italy. She has worked in post-doc positions to investigate the quality, characterization and traceability of vegetal products. Her research is now focused on the diagnosis and epidemiology of plant viruses, tissue culture and virus elimination using in vitro techniques, plant–virus interactions and the use of essential oils as antiviral agents.
