Xiaoshuang Chen received his Ph.D. in condensed matter physics from Nanjing University, Nanjing, China, in 1995. He is currently a Full Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Technology Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China, where he is also the Director of the National Laboratory for Infrared Physics. His current research interests include infrared photo-electronic material design, high-speed electronic device design, and photonic crystal.
