Graduated in Biological Sciences Medical Modality from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP (2000), MSc degree (2003) and Ph.D. (2007) in Medical Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo - USP - Ribeirão Preto - SP. She is currently coordinator of the Graduate Program in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Vale do Paraíba - UNIVAP - São José dos Campos - SP and leads the FOTOBIOS (Photobiology applied to Health) lab, a research group in which aim is to evaluate cellular, biochemical and molecular mechanisms and events in photobiomodulation and photodynamic therapy (PDT). She has experience in the area of ​​Biophysics, with an emphasis on Radiology and Photobiology, working mainly in Photodynamic Therapy, Cancer, Microbiology, Parasitology, Photosensitizers and Spectroscopy.
