Nasim Izadi received her Master’s degree in molecular cell biology and genetics in Azad University in Tehran, Iran. She is currently a PhD student at Masaryk University and a researcher at Research Centre for Applied Molecular Oncology at Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute, both in Brno, Czech Republic. She spent 8 years at Medical genetic laboratories (Peyvand Genetics Complex, Shiraz, Iran) and Kariminejad-Najmabadi Pathology & Genetics Centre (Tehran, Iran), and 3 years at the Institute of Biophysics (Brno, Czech Republic), where she studied glycoproteins and protein-glycan interactions using electrochemistry. Her current research interests include development of electrochemical bioassays for the detection of cancer biomarkers.
