Ji-Myung Bae earned, from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, a DDS in Dentistry (1995) and a PhD in Dentistry (2003). Ji-Myung Bae is now a Professor of the Department of Dental Biomaterials/College of Dentistry/Wonkwang University. Their work in the Dental Biomaterials Field has resulted in 119 publications, 136 presentations, and awards, including the Bumho Scientific Award for Young Scientist (2004), Sunoo Yang-Gook Research Award for Dental Materials (2005), and IADR/Unilever Travel Award (2006). Their research interests include thermosensitive hydrogel to prevent periodontal disease, oral microbiome, calcium silicate cement, and fluoride varnish.
