We study the dynamics of (i) neutral test particles, (ii) magnetically charged test particles, and (iii) test magnetic dipole around a regular Bardeen black hole surrounded by perfect fluid dark matter (PFDM). It has been shown how the magnetic charge of the black hole and the parameter of the surrounding PFDM can influence the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) radius of a test particle. We have found that the ISCO radius is strongly affected as a consequence of the combined effect of the magnetic charge parameter and the perfect fluid dark matter. The black hole magnetic charge parameter g and the combined effect of perfect fluid dark matter can mimic the black hole rotation parameter up to a/M≈0.9. It has been observed that the ISCO for magnetic dipole disappears at the values exceeding the calculated upper value for the magnetic interaction parameter β. The upper limit decreases with the increase of both the dark matter and magnetic charge parameters. Finally, as an astrophysical application, we have analyzed degeneracy effects of spin of Kerr black holes and magnetic charge of regular Bardeen black holes for the different values of the dark matter parameter providing exactly the same value for ISCO radius of a magnetic dipole with the same value of the parameter β=10.2 of the magnetar called PSR J1745-2900 orbiting around supermassive black hole Sagittarius A*. It has been observed that the magnetic charge of the pure regular Bardeen black hole can mimic the spin of a Kerr black hole up to a/M≃0.8085, while upper limit for the magnetic charge which may provide ISCO for the magnetic dipole is gupper≃0.65M. In the presence of PFDM with the parameter α=0.01(0.05), the upper limit for the magnetic charge decreases and equals to gupper≃0.62M (0.548M) and consequently mimicker value for the spin parameter of black hole lies in the range of a/M∈(0.0106÷0.8231) (a/M∈(0.0816÷0.8595)). We also show that the same values of the spin of Kerr black hole and the magnetic charge of regular Bardeen black hole surrounded by PFDM provide the same values for the ISCO radius of the chosen magnetar.

In this paper, we investigate circular orbits for test particles around the Schwarzschild–de Sitter (dS) black hole surrounded by perfect fluid dark matter. We determine the region of circular orbits bounded by innermost and outermost stable circular orbits. We show that the impact of the perfect fluid dark matter shrinks the region where circular orbits can exist as the values of both innermost and outermost stable circular orbits decrease. We find that for specific lower and upper values of the dark matter parameter there exist double matching values for inner and outermost stable circular orbits. It turns out that the gravitational attraction due to the dark matter contribution dominates over cosmological repulsion. This gives rise to a remarkable result in the Schwarzschild–de Sitter black hole surrounded by dark matter field in contrast to the Schwarzschild–de Sitter metric. Finally, we study epicyclic motion and its frequencies with their applications to twin peak quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) for various models. We find the corresponding values of the black hole parameters which could best fit and explain the observed twin peak QPO object GRS 1915+109 from microquasars.

We investigate the effect of a test magnetic field on the process of destroying a near-extremal Kerr black hole with a charged test particle. It has been shown that it would be possible to throw a charged test particle into the near extremal rotating black hole and make it go past the extremality, i.e., turn the Kerr black hole into the Kerr–Newmann naked singularity. Typically, in an astrophysical scenario, black holes are believed to be surrounded by a magnetic field. The magnetic field, although small, affects the motion of charged particles drastically due to the large Lorentz force, as the electromagnetic force is much stronger than the gravity. Thus, a test magnetic field can affect the process of destroying black holes and restore the cosmic censorship in the astrophysical context. We show that a test magnetic field would act as a cosmic censor beyond a certain threshold value. We try to gauge the magnitude of the magnetic field by comparing its energy density with that of the change in the curvature induced by the test particle. We find that the magnetic field required is either as strong as or slightly stronger as compared to the value for which its effect on the background geometry is comparable to the tiny backreaction as that of the test particle. In such a case, however, one has to take into account effect of the magnetic field on the background geometry, which is difficult to implement in the absence of any exact near-extremal rotating magnetized black hole solutions. We expect that magnetic field would still act as a cosmic censor.

In this paper, we test the weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) for the Reissner–Nordström–de Sitter (RN-dS) black hole surrounded by perfect fluid dark matter. We consider a spherically symmetric perturbation on deriving linear and non-linear order perturbation inequalities by applying a new version of gedanken experiments well accepted from the work of Sorce and Wald. Contrary to the well-known result that the Reissner–Nordström (RN) black hole could be overcharged under linear order particle accretion it is hereby shown that the same black hole in perfect fluid dark matter with cosmological parameter cannot be overcharged. Considering a realistic scenario in which black holes cannot be considered to be in vacuum we investigate the contribution of dark matter and cosmological constant in the overcharging process of an electrically charged black hole. We demonstrate that the black hole can be overcharged only when two fields induced by dark matter and cosmological parameter are completely balanced. Further we present a remarkable result that a black hole cannot be overcharged beyond a certain threshold limit for which the effect arising from the cosmological constant dominates over the effect by the perfect fluid dark matter. Thus even for a linear accretion process, the black hole cannot always be overcharged and hence obeys the WCCC in general. This result would continue to be fulfilled for non-linear order accretion.

We investigate the dynamics of neutral and charged test particles around axially symmetric magnetized black hole spacetime. We consider its electromagnetic field in the black hole vicinity and study its impact on the dynamics of test particles. We determine the radius of the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) for neutral and charged test particles and show that the combined effect of black hole electric charge and magnetic field strongly affects the ISCO radius, thus shrinking its values. We also show that the ISCO radius of positively (negatively) charged particle initially gets increased (decreased) and then gets radically altered with an increase in the value of both black hole electric charge and test particle charge. It turns out that the repulsive (attractive) Coulomb force dominates over the Lorentz force arising from the black hole magnetic field. Typically, black hole rotation causes axially symmetric spacetime case. Similarly, it turns out that a magnetized black hole solution also causes axially symmetric spacetime as a consequence of the presence of magnetic field. We study a degeneracy for the value of the ISCO between the Kerr and the magnetized Reissner-Nordström black hole geometries and show that the combined effects of black hole charge and magnetic field can be mimicked by Kerr spacetime with the spin parameter up to a/M≈0.8. Finally, we consider the center of mass energy of colliding particles and show that an increase in the values of black hole magnetic field and electric charge leads to high center of mass energy extracted by collision of two particles.

We study the motion of electrically charged particles, magnetic monopoles, and magnetic dipoles around electrically and magnetically charged stringy black holes. From the analysis of the radius of the innermost stable circular orbit of electrically charged particles, we show that the electric charge Q of stringy black holes can mimic well the spin of Kerr black holes; the black hole magnetic charge Qm can mimic spins up to a*≃0.85 for magnetic dipoles; the magnetic charge parameter g of a magnetic monopole can mimic spins up to a*≃0.8. This is due to the destructive character of the magnetic field, and such a result excludes the existence of an appreciable black hole magnetic charge in astrophysical black holes from the observation of rapidly rotating objects with dimensionless spin up to a*≃0.99. We then consider the magnetar SGR (PSR) J1745-2900 as a magnetic dipole orbiting the supermassive black hole Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*). We show that Sgr A* may be interpreted as a stringy black hole with magnetic charge Qm/M≤0.4118.
