Elisabet Prats-Alfonso obtained a Chemistry degree from the University of Barcelona in 2006. She developed her doctoral thesis in the Institute for Research in Biomedicine in the Barcelona Science Park (IRB-PCB) and she received her Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona in 2011. She is a CIBER Research member of CIBER in the Biomedical Application’s Group of the Microelectronics Institute of Barcelona, which main research interests are the functionalization and fabrication of Biosensors. Currently she is involved in the research activities of functionalization platforms for chemical and biochemical sensors and characterization of graphene solution-gated field-effect transistors. She is also an active science disseminator through the group BigVanCiencia.
