EDUCATION: • 1988: DOCTOR oF PHILOSOPHY (PhD) IN NUTRITIONAL SCIENCES University of Paris XI, Orsay, France • 1983: Master of of Science (MS) FOOD AND NUTRITIONAL SCIENCES University of Pierre-et-Marie Curie, Paris, France RESEARCH INTEREST: Research interests focus primarily on genetic and nutritional factors involved in obesity and metabolic disorders, with a great interest in the causative links between metabolic dysfunction, inflammation and insulin resistance. To elucidate these mechanisms, investigations are performed in genetically altered mouse and cell models. Translational studies are also conducted to investigate the molecular dysfunctions in human diseases including diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
