In modern days, the conception of sustainability has progressively advanced and has begun receiving global interest. Thus, sustainability is an imperative idea in modern research. Considering the recent trend, this review paper presents a summary of the previously published research articles on minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) assisted machining. The requirement to stir towards sustainability motivated the researchers to revise the effects of substitute lubrication methods on the machining. Conventional lubri-cooling agents are still extensively employed when machining of engineering alloys, but the majority of the recent papers have depicted that the utilization of vegetable oil, nanofluids, and nanoplatelets in MQL system confers superior machining performances as compared to conventional lubrication technology. In actual, the definite principle of this manuscript is to re-examine modern advancements in the MQL technique and also explore the benefits of the vegetable oil and nanofluid as a lubricant. In brief, this paper is a testimony to the advancing capabilities of eco-friendly MQL technique which is a viable alternative to the flood lubrication technology, and the outcomes of this review work can be contemplated as a movement towards sustainable machining.
In this paper, the application of hexagonal fuzzy multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methodology for the site selection of electric vehicle charging stations is considered. In this regard, four factors and thirteen sub-factors have been taken into consideration for E-vehicle charging site selection. In this research, the geographic information system (GIS) has been incorporated with MCDM techniques. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) is used to obtain a fuzzy weight of factors and sub-factors. MCDM tools fuzzy technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (FTOPSIS) and fuzzy complex proportional assessment (FCOPRAS) have been used to rank the selected sites. A centroid-based method for defuzzification and distance measure between two hexagonal fuzzy numbers (HFN) has been developed for this paper. A practical example in Howrah, India, is considered to show the applicability and usefulness of the model. The results depict the suitability of the proposed research. Comparative and sensitivity analyses have been demonstrated to check the reliability, robustness and effectiveness of the proposed method.
In this paper, different measures of interval-valued pentagonal fuzzy numbers (IVPFN) associated with assorted membership functions (MF) were explored, considering significant exposure of multifarious interval-valued fuzzy numbers in neoteric studies. Also, the idea of MF is generalized somewhat to nonlinear membership functions for viewing the symmetries and asymmetries of the pentagonal fuzzy structures. Accordingly, the construction of level sets, for each case of linear and nonlinear MF was also carried out. Besides, defuzzification was undertaken using three methods and a ranking method, which were also the main features of this framework. The developed intellects were implemented in a game problem by taking the parameters as PFNs, ultimately resulting in a new direction for modeling real world problems and to comprehend the uncertainty of the parameters more precisely in the evaluation process.
In this paper, we introduce the concept of neutrosophic number from different viewpoints. We define different types of linear and non-linear generalized triangular neutrosophic numbers which are very important for uncertainty theory. We introduced the de-neutrosophication concept for neutrosophic number for triangular neutrosophic numbers. This concept helps us to convert a neutrosophic number into a crisp number. The concepts are followed by two application, namely in imprecise project evaluation review technique and route selection problem.
