Dr. Youchun Wang

Dr. Youchun Wang is a Member of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and a tenured professor at Peking Union Medical College. He received his B.Sc. in Medicine from Qidao Medical College and his Ph.D. in Virology from the University College London (UCL). He has mainly worked on the hepatitis virus, HIV, HPV, and other viruses and obtained several grants from the Wellcome Trust, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Foundation of Natural Science, and others. He also has several positions in academic associations, such as the Chairman of Medical Virology and the Vice Chairman of the Medical Microbiology and Immunology of the Chinese Medical Association, the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Laboratory Animal Association, the Chairman of Beijing Medical Virology, and the Vice Chairman of Virological Products of Chinese Pharmacopoeia.
