Professor Pao-Hsien Chu is an internationally recognized cardiologist, educator, and innovator specializing in heart failure, arrhythmias, and cardiovascular device development. Currently, he serves as a Staff Physician in the Department of Cardiology at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and as the Director of the Institute of Stem Cell and Translational Cancer Research at Chang Gung University. He previously held leadership roles as the Chief of Cardiology and Director of the Heart Failure Center at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. With over 460 peer-reviewed publications, Professor Chu is a leader in integrating clinical cardiology with big data analytics and precision medicine. He has pioneered research utilizing Taiwan's National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) and Chang Gung Research Database (CGRD), focusing on areas such as lipoprotein (a), Fabry disease, and the environmental impacts of cardiovascular risks. His innovative work is highlighted by numerous patents in the US, EU, and Taiwan, particularly in leadless pacemaker systems and AI-driven cardiovascular risk prediction.
