Prof. Minho Shin received his master’s and Ph.D degrees in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2003 and 2008, respectively. He joined Myongji University in March 2011. Before then, he was a research scientist at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, Giheung, Korea. From November 2007 to February 2010, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Security, Technology, and Society (ISTS) at Dartmouth College. He direct the Human-based Mobile Computing Laboratory (HMCL), which works on designing the architectures and security/privacy mechanisms of mobile systems that provide services to mobile users based on their situation inferred by sensor data.
