Saeid Karamzadeh (Senior Member,
IEEE) received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in communication systems from
Istanbul Technical University, Türkiye, in 2013 and 2015, receiving the
Rectorate's Most Successful Ph.D. Thesis Award. He is currently a Senior Scientist
with the Millimeter Wave Technologies Unit at Silicon Austria Laboratories,
Linz, Austria, leading R&D in mm-wave communication systems, CubeSat
antennas, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, and radar technologies. He has
secured funding from the European Space Agency (ESA), national grants, and
industrial partnerships. Concurrently, he is a Full Professor in the Electrical
and Electronics Engineering Department at Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul,
Türkiye, teaching antenna theory, microwave systems, and communication
technologies.
With over 100 peer-reviewed
publications in venues such as IEEE MWCL, IEEE Journal of Microwaves, and IEEE
Access, his research in antennas and metamaterials has earned multiple best
paper honors at major IEEE conferences. He was also the Founder of GraphenePi
R&D Engineering (2018–2024), developing innovative RF systems and custom
antenna solutions. His research interests encompass advanced antenna design,
mm-wave/THz communications, wearable antennas, metasurfaces, and radar systems
for automotive and healthcare applications. Prof. Karamzadeh has supervised
several graduate students, chaired international conference sessions, and
regularly reviews for journals like IEEE T-MTT and IEEE AWPL.
