Warren Burggren is a University Distinguished Research Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences and Provost at the University of North Texas and a Fellow of the American Physiological Society. He received his B.Sc. from the University of Calgary and his Ph.D. from the University of East Anglia. His research ranges broadly within the general field of developmental animal physiology, using both conventional animal models (zebrafish, chicken) as well as more exotic species (armadillo, emu, planaria) to explore basic questions in developmental physiology.
