Prof. Dr. Michail Y. Melnikov is currently a Chief Researcher and Head of the Laboratory of Chemical Kinetics at Lomonosov Moscow State University. He received his Ph.D. and Dr. Sci. in Chemical Kinetics and Catalysis from Moscow State University in 1973 and 1984 respectively. Prof. Dr. Michail Y. Melnikov also serves as a Senior Editor of "Bulletin of Moscow University. Chemistry" and "Russian Nanotechnologies", a member of the Editorial Board of "Advanced Materials Letters" and a member of the Editorial Boards of "Advances Material Science".  Prof. Dr. Michail Y. Melnikov won the Russian Federation Government Award in the field of Education in 2012, his scientific interests mainly include photochemistry and chemistry of active intermediates (radicals, radical cations, radical anions, carbenes, silylenes, etc.), photochemistry and photophysics of coordination compounds, chemical kinetics in solids, photochemical and thermal reactions on activated surfaces, catalysis, radiation chemistry, farm chemistry, and nanochemistry.
