Currently, Hossain is working as a lecturer in the Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. He is interested in unwrapping the bioactivity and pharmacological potentials of medicinal plants with emphasis on the application of these on fish for growth and immunomodulation of fish
