Jose A. Boluda was born in Xàtiva, Spain, in 1969. He received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain, in 1992 and 2000, respectively.
Since 1993, he has been with the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, University of Valencia, where he collaborated on several projects related to application-specific integrated circuit design and image processing. He was a Visiting Researcher with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA, and the Department of Applied Computer Studies, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Engineering, University of Valencia. His current research interests include image processing hardware design, programmable logic synthesis, and bio-inspired sensor design.
