MAKSIM BANO received his M.Sc. in Physics from Ecole Normale Supérieure of Tirana University (1980), and his M.Sc. in Geophysics (1985) and Ph.D. in Applied Geophysics (1989) from Louis Pasteur University of Strasbourg, France. In December 2000, he received his HDR (ability to conduct researches) diploma from Strasbourg University. His current research interests are related to the GPR imaging of buried active faults and archaeological remains, as well as modeling and inversion of GPR data. He co-organized the Workshop "GPR measurements of active faults and tsunami sediments" in Tokyo from 2 to 8 October 2017. He has been a member of EAGE since 1996 and of SEG since 1998 and has been serving as Associate Editor of the "Geophysics" journal since 2004.
