Full Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the University School for Advanced Studies IUSS-Pavia (Italy); Director of the IUSS-Maugeri Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at ICS Maugeri, Pavia (Italy). After a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology (San Raffaele University, Milan, Italy), he obtained a PhD in Neuroscience (Institute of Human Physiology, University of Parma, Italy). His research activity is based on the application of neuroimaging techniques (particularly functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging) to the study of the neural bases of cognitive processes, and particularly decision-making (Decision Neuroscience) and social cognition (Social Neuroscience), both in health and disease.
