In 2019 I graduated from the University of Glasgow with a 2:1 in Neuroscience BSc (Hons). In 2020 I completed my MSc in Psychological Sciences - Clinical graduating with Distinction. As part of my masters I carried out research investigating older adults experiences of staying socially connected and staying food secure during the COVID-19 pandemic. This has now been published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health special issue "Health and Well-Being of Older People in an Era of COVID-19". I am currently working as a Rank Foundation Time to Shine Leader with Common Wheel. This mental health charity is based in Glasgow and my role within the organisation is as a Volunteer Programme Coordinator. Prior to this I worked as a Home Carer for Balmoral Health and Social Care in Glasgow and as a G4S Events Steward. I love the volunteering work I do at Robin House, Children's Hospice based in Balloch, Scotland and playing percussion in several bands.. My career aim is to secure a place to study for a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in order to continue a career working within mental health and research.
