Jens Pietzsch is a biochemist/toxicologist and received his PhD/MD degree in  Pathological Biochemistry and Internal Medicine in 1996 from the Technische  Universität Dresden (Germany). He currently is the Head of the Department of  Radiopharmaceutical and Chemical Biology at the Institute of  Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf. He holds a position as Professor of Pathological Biochemistry at the  Faculty of Chemistry and Food Chemistry, School of Science, Technische  Universität Dresden. His research interest focuses on targeted radionuclide-based theranostics of therapy-resistant malignant tumors including intelligent biomaterial approaches for targeted drug delivery.
