Vladimir Nikolic, is a research professor at Institute of General and Physical Chemistry, in Belgrade, Serbia. He has obtained his BSc degree in development of specific spetroscopic method based on U-shaped dc arc plasma for determination of traces of uranium in river waters in Serbia, in 2005. at Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade. Since then, he has been dealing with electrochemical aspects of renewable energy sources, such as alkaline electrolyzers, alkaline and proton exchange fuel cell. He obtained his PhD degree in 2013. at Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade, on R&D on novel catalyst for PEM fuel cells. Nowadays, his main research interest lays in development of specific catalysts for electrolytic hydrogen production and its use in PEM fuel cells, but also for electroxidation of methanol and ethanol, and application of electrochemical and advanced oxidation methods in remediation techniques of organic pollutants from liquid and solid matrices. His R&D work resulted in 30 scientific papers in recognized international journals and several applied technical solutions. He was involved in several national projects and FP7 projects, where he was assigned to coordinate specific work packages.
