Dr. Joohee Kim joined the faculty of Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL, USA, in 2009 and she is currently an Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She received her Ph.D. in ECE from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, USA in 2003. She is also the Director of the Multimedia Communications Laboratory at Illinois Tech and has been actively involved in research projects funded by US Federal Agencies and the Korean Government. Her current research interests include image and video signal processing, computer vision and machine learning, multimedia communication, multimedia systems, and real-time 3D reconstruction for augmented teleoperation and robotics applications.
