Alma Bekbotayeva is a Professor at the Department of Geology Satbayev University. Visiting scholar in PennState University (2024-2025). She has been awarded the title of Honored Prospector of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Medal "For the Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan". She has published over 50 papers in various journals and serves as a reviewer for several international conferences. Her teaching disciplines include Petrology, General geology, Structural Geology  and her research interests include petrography and mineralogy of copper deposits. In addition to her academic achievements, she actively participates in international scientific collaborations and has contributed significantly to the field of applied geology. She is also a member of the editorial board for a number of scientific journals, further enhancing her impact in the academic community.
