Dr. F. Yesim Demirci is an Associate Professor at the School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh, affiliated with Health Sciences. Her major research area of interest is to investigate the genetic and molecular basis of complex human diseases, including but not limited to immune-mediated conditions, autoimmune diseases, and inflammatory or malignant ocular disorders. Dr. Demirci has had an active association with different national/international professional organizations/societies during her career. To date, Dr. Demirci has authored/co-authored more than 100 publications and served as a reviewer for multiple reputed professional journals.
