Dr. Tea Glonti received a Master's degree in 1997 and a Ph.D. degree in 2004 from the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (Department of Microbiology and Virology) of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in Tbilisi (GEO). Between 2004 and 2010, Dr. Tea Glonti was a post-doctoral researcher at the George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virology in Tbilisi (GEO), the Laboratory of Bacteriology of University of Gent (Belgium), the Laboratory of Microbiology of the School of Pharmacy of the University of London (GBR) and the Molecular Biology Laboratory of the University of Guelph (CAN). From 2010 to 2017, Dr. Tea Glonti worked as a biological expert at the Department of Biological Expertise, National Forensics Bureau (Tbilisi, Georgia) and the Biosafety and Biosecurity Research Lead, Branch of Battelle Memorial Institute in Georgia. From 2018 to 2019, Dr. Tea Glonti worked as Phage Research Lead and Laboratory Operation Manager at PhagoMed Biopharma GmbH (AUS). Dr. Tea Glonti is currently a Senior Researcher in the LabMCT of QAMH.
