Fábio Ruiz Simões is Graduated, Bachelor and Master Degree in Chemistry (1999, 2001 and 2002 respectively) from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). Is PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, from University of São Paulo, USP São Carlos - SP (2005). Developed a PhD stage in Analytical Chemistry in the Chemistry Department from the Coimbra University (2004-2005). Such his PhD (2001-2005) as a stage of researcher (DTI-CNPQ Level 7C (2005-2007) were devoloped at Embrapa Agricultural Instrumentation (CNPDIA-EMBRAPA) with postdoctoral degree in the Chemistry Department (2007-2009) and in the Sorocaba Campus (2009) from UFSCar. He was Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Environmental, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, ICAQF (2009-2014) and currently is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Marine Sciences from Campus Baixada Santista of Federal University of São Paulo. Coordinates research projects on the development of nanostructured electrode materials based on Graphene, Carbon Nanotubes and Conductive polymers that aim to determine substances of environmental and biological interest such as pesticides, drugs and hormones in aquatic environments and biological samples. He is also interested in applications of these nanostructured materials for storage and energy production.
