Prof. Tomasz Jankowiak is a faculty member at Poznan University of Technology, specializing in experimental mechanics, computer-aided design of engineering structures, and computational modeling. His research encompasses calculations and simulations of physical processes in both static and dynamic contexts, constitutive modeling, material plasticity and damage, material and structural failure, homogenization, numerical methods, and programming. Prof. Jankowiak earned his MSc with a thesis titled “Theoretical and Numerical Analysis of Load-Carrying Ability of a Concrete Sample during the Pullout Test” (2003). His PhD dissertation, “Failure Criteria for Concrete under Quasi-Static and Dynamic Loadings,” was completed in 2010, followed by his habilitation thesis, “Properties of Materials and Structures at High Rates of Deformation,” in 2017, all at Poznan University of Technology. He has authored numerous articles, book chapters, and two books, and his Scopus h-index is 15.
