Prof. Ali Dehghan Firoozabadi is a Full Professor and Director of the Department of Electricity at the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana (UTEM), Chile. He received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Yazd University, Iran, in 2007, 2009, and 2015, respectively. From 2015 to 2017, he served as a postdoctoral researcher at several Chilean institutions, including the Universidad de Chile, the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In 2017, he joined UTEM, where he served as an Associate Professor until 2023. Since 2023, he has held the position of Full Professor. Prof. Ali Dehghan Firoozabadi is also the Director of the Speech, Music & Image Processing Laboratory (SMIPL). His research interests include microphone array signal processing, speaker localization and tracking, speech enhancement, visible light communication, and light source localization, among other topics in signal processing and telecommunications.
