Prof. Han Zhang is currently serving as principal investigator (PI) at the Institute of Medical Biology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, Kunming, China. She obtained M.D.and Ph.D. in pediatrics from Capital Medical University, Beijing, China, in 2005 and 2014, respectively. From 2014 to 2017, she engaged in postdoctoral research in hematological malignancy at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Houston, TX, USA. In 2017, she was introduced as a "high-level talent" by the Institute of Medical Biology and returned to China. In 2020, she was selected as a "Medical Discipline Leader" in Yunnan Province's high-level health system. She is the Youth Vice Chairman of the First Pediatric Oncology Professional Committee of the Yunnan Anti-Cancer Association. Her research directions mainly include the molecular mechanisms and chemoresistance of hematological malignancies, pathogenesis of infectious diseases, development of small-molecule targeted drugs and antitumor monoclonal antibodies.
