Assistant Professor Dr. Esra Uray has been actively engaged in research concerning the application of metaheuristic optimization algorithms and the Taguchi method within the field of geotechnical engineering since 2013. Her academic contributions also encompass parameter optimization, parametric investigations, and the development of mathematical models that incorporate statistical and artificial intelligence methodologies. These endeavors aim to address the intricate challenges associated with geotechnical design. She completed a Postdoctoral Researchership at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her expertise lies in integrating machine learning techniques and heuristic optimization algorithms into geotechnical engineering and earthquake engineering applications, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, reliability, and innovation in engineering design and analysis.
