Fabio De Matteis, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Public Management and Policy at the University of Bari (Italy), Ionian Department of Law, Economics and Environment. He has participated in various research groups on performance management and coordinated a three-year research project on sustainability management in public sector organizations. Further areas of research are accounting, accountability, programming and control in the public sector.
