Dr. Daphne Parliari is a physicist and Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Laboratory of Atmospheric Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research focuses on the synergistic effects of air pollution and thermal stress on human health in Mediterranean cities, with a particular emphasis on developing integrated models and evidence-based tools for environmental governance. She has participated in multiple EU-funded projects and has contributed to the design of forecasting systems linking air quality, climate, and health information for decision-makers and citizens. Dr. Parliari has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in journals, and regularly presents her work at major international conferences. Her research aims to advance interdisciplinary approaches for quantifying compound environmental stressors and promoting climate-resilient health policies.
