Social networks sites have a considerable impact on all our life aspects, especially the educational sector. This study aims at identifying the factors affecting students’ actual usage of social networks sites for educational purposes in Jordanian universities. The proposed model consists factors of UTAUT2 theory (Effort expectancy, Performance expectancy, Social influence, Facilitating condition, Habit, Hedonic motivation). In addition to two added factors (lecturer support, and student-related factors) as an extension. The study was conducted in (6) Jordanian universities, where (381) questionnaires were returned from the study sample with a response rate of (95%) from the total questionnaires that were distributed online. The results showed that (Performance expectancy, Social influence, Effort expectancy, Habit, lecturer support, and student-related factors) have a positive impact on the actual usage of social networks sites for educational purposes in Jordanian universities, while the factors (Facilitating condition and Hedonic motivation) don’t support their hypotheses).

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, electronic learning (e-learning) has been considered as a main tool for delivering education all over the world. The study aims at identifying the factors affecting students’ continued usage intention of e-learning during COVID-19 pandemic and the mediating role of student satisfaction. To achieve that, a research model has been developed through combining Delone & McLean model, diffusion of innovation theory, and COVID-19 perceived risk and self-efficacy as contextual factors. The data was collected through surveying students around the country, (542) questionnaires were collected, (525) responses are accepted for data analysis from the total questionnaires that were distributed electronically. Smart PLS 2 was used to assess the proposed model. The results showed that compatibility, Relative advantage, COVID-19 Perceived Risk, and satisfaction have a direct significant influence on students’ continued usage intention. However, all the factors have been found to have an indirect significant impact on students' continued usage intention when the factor “satisfaction” mediated the relationships.

The Fog computing concept has been introduced to aid in the data processing of Internet of things applications using Cloud computing. Due to the profitable benefits of this combination, several papers have lately been published proposing the deployment of Blockchain alongside Fog computing in a variety of fields. A comprehensive evaluation and synthesis of the literature on Blockchain-Fog computing integration applications that have emerged in recent years is required. Although there have been several articles on the integration of Blockchain with Fog computing, the applications connected with this combination are still fragmented and require further exploration. Hence, in this paper, the applications of Blockchain-Fog computing integration are identified using a systematic literature review technique and tailored search criteria generated from the study objectives. This article found and evaluated 144 relevant papers. The findings of this article can be used as a resource for future Fog computing research and designs.

Attention, which is the process of noticing the surrounding environment and processing information, is one of the cognitive functions that deteriorate gradually as people grow older. Games that are used for other than entertainment, such as improving attention, are often referred to as serious games. This study examined the effectiveness of serious games on attention among elderly individuals suffering from cognitive impairment. A systematic review and meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials were carried out. A total of 10 trials ultimately met all eligibility criteria of the 559 records retrieved. The synthesis of very low-quality evidence from three trials, as analyzed in a meta-study, indicated that serious games outperform no/passive interventions in enhancing attention in cognitively impaired older adults (P < 0.001). Additionally, findings from two other studies demonstrated that serious games are more effective than traditional cognitive training in boosting attention among cognitively impaired older adults. One study also concluded that serious games are better than traditional exercises in enhancing attention. Serious games can enhance attention in cognitively impaired older adults. However, given the low quality of the evidence, the limited number of participants in most studies, the absence of some comparative studies, and the dearth of studies included in the meta-analyses, the results remain inconclusive. Thus, until the aforementioned limitations are rectified in future research, serious games should serve as a supplement, rather than a replacement, to current interventions.

Recently, using Social Network Sites has been rising noticeably, especially among young people (18 years-34 years) who compose more than 50% of Facebook users. Accordingly, university students may find Facebook familiar and easier to share knowledge. This study attempts to investigate the impact of knowledge sharing using Facebook on student performance. This study examines the effect of Technology Self-Efficacy (TS), Information Self-efficacy (IS), Social Expectations (SE), Enjoyment (EN), Size of Social Network (SN), Personal Trust (PT), and Reciprocity (REC) as main factors on students’ academic performance as mediated by knowledge sharing behavior on Facebook in Jordanian University. Accordingly, a Covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) using AMOS 22 was applied to test the model and posited hypotheses. A questionnaire-based survey was designed to collect the data based on a dataset of 450 university students from various five Jordanian universities. The results indicated that TS, IS, SE, EN, SN, PT, and REC positively and significantly affect students’ academic performance. Additionally, knowledge sharing on Facebook significantly as well as positively mediated the relationship between the proposed factors and students’ academic performance. This is one of the few studies which investigate the interrelationships among the examined factors, and the first to test the model on university students in Jordan. Practically, policymakers can depend on the results to create or modify the current learning environment by introducing the usage of social networks to help in increasing academic performance. Lastly, future research could study some other social network platforms looking at gender, educational level, or region.
