Prof. Dr. Rafaela Rosário is an Assistant Professor at the University of Minho and a dedicated researcher at the Health Sciences Research Unit: Nursing (UICISA: E). She completed her PhD in childhood studies with a specialization in children’s health at the University of Minho. As a Principal Investigator (PI), she has successfully led two funded research projects and served as a co-PI on two additional projects. Presently, Rafaela Rosário is engaged in a cluster-randomized trial in schools, collaborating on a program with children and stakeholders to prevent obesity and non-communicable diseases. She has (co)-authored over 80 journal papers, book chapters, and conference and workshop papers. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded the “New Investigator Award in the Field of Childhood Obesity Research” by the European Association for the Study of Obesity in 2016.
