Dr. Suzana Dragićević is a Professor in the Department of Geography and director of the Spatial Analysis and Modeling (SAM) Research Laboratory, Simon Fraser University, Canada. Her research program deals with the integration of GIS, complexity science and artificial intelligence for the analysis and modeling of complex dynamic geospatial systems. Application areas include urban environments, land-use/land-cover change, forestry and landscape ecology. Dr. Dragićević is co-editor of the Springer's book series on ‘Advances in Geographic Information Science’; is associate editor for ‘Geomatica’ and ‘Earth Science Informatics’ journals, was serving as associate editor for the ‘Computers, Environment and Urban Systems’ and 'Landscape and Urban Planning' journals, and is a member of several international journal editorial boards.
