Pablo
Barranco, Lecturer of Entomology at the University of Almeria (Spain). Graduated in
Biology, specialising in Zoology in 1990, PhD in 1997 at the University of
Granada. With more than 30 years of experience in research and teaching in the
field of Entomology. The lines of research have run along dual lines related to
applied entomology and taxonomy. The first is related to biology, population
dynamics and pest control, extending to insect physiology (40 papers). The
second is related to arthropod diversity, faunistic and taxonomic studies,
especially Orthoptera (68 papers), Palpigradi (8 papers) and Acari (18 papers),
with an in-depth study of the biology of arthropods linked to the subterranean
environment (31 papers).
