Dr. Mehdi Shokouhian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Morgan State University. He obtained his Ph.D. in structural engineering from Tsinghua University in 2015. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, Morgan State University. Dr. Shokouhian specializes in conducting comprehensive research that integrates experimental and analytical approaches, focusing on innovative structural designs and high-performance materials. He has served as a principal and co-principal investigator on multiple research projects funded by federal and state agencies, with total funding exceeding $1.8 million. He has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, and technical reports. He also serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for more than 17 esteemed international and national refereed journals.
