This paper presents a design of Telegram bot to support Campus information sharing. The communication method used is Webhooks. Webhooks is able to provide zero latency and handle multiple requests concurrently during communication within the Telegram bot. Such bot serves the information via specific commands. The Telegram bot prototype shows that even though Webhooks is able to provide information as requested, Webhooks setting is difficult and trickier.

Broiler chicken is a livestock that is characterized by fast growing. Temperature and humidity become the most important factors during their growth. Unmonitored and uncontrolled temperature and humidity within the cage can lead to reduced productivity and high rate of mortality. This paper presents a prototype that is able to monitor such factors automatically. A prototype of sensor using DHT11 and Arduino DUE microcontroller has been developed. Android-based app is deployed to support the prototype. A web-based application is also built to show the monitoring result comprehensively. The result shows that the sensor is able to continuously capture the current temperature and humidity of the chicken cage for some periods. After the implementation, the number of death chicks are decreasing from 5 to 4 chicks per day. Controlling both factors will be the future work.

Cloud-based systems involve the management and control on the level of delivered service, which is crucial in order to maintain service continuity and customers' trust for the service provided. Predefined service level agreement (SLA) is normally used as the main element in managing the cloud-based system. However, such SLA basically cannot be adjusted during operations. Current studies on SLA adjustment are mainly focused on modifying the agreement before commencing operations. The cloud environment is, however, dynamic and requires occasional review of the SLA parameters to manage expectations. Thus, to maintain service continuity that is acceptable to all parties, SLA adjustment is necessary during service operations. This paper presents a real-time and proactive SLA renegotiation model to support the dynamic nature of cloud-based systems. Renegotiation is shown for four different scenarios based on parameter weightage. In order to achieve real-time decision, a multi-offer generation approach is used. A novel mechanism to detect and predict service violation is proposed to ensure proactive renegotiation. Simulation is performed to verify the model. In the simulation, the model is found to be effective as it is able to generate multi-offers in a single renegotiation round and reduce the impact of service violations during service operations.

Background: Social media has become a massive encyclopedia of almost anything due to its content richness. People tell stories, write comments and feedback, and share knowledge through social media. The information available on social media enables ‘clueless’ travelers to get quick travel recommendations in the tourism sector. Through a simple query, such as typing ‘places to visit in Bali’, travelers can get many blog articles to help them decide which places of interest to visit. However, doing this reading task without a helper can be overwhelming. Methods: To overcome this problem, we developed Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT)-based tourism named entity recognition system, which is used to highlight tourist destination places in the query result. BERT is a state-of-the-art machine learning framework for natural language processing that can give a decent performance in various settings and cases. Our developed tourism named entity recognition (NER) model specifies three different tourist destinations: heritage, natural, and purposefully built (man-made or artificial). The dataset is taken from various tourism-related community articles and posts. Results: The model achieved an average F1-score of 0.80 and has been implemented into a traveling destination recommendation system. By using this system, travelers can get quick recommendations based on the popularity of places visited in the query frame. Discussion: Based on the survey that we conducted to target respondents who have never visited and have no or limited knowledge about tourist attractions in some example cities, their average interest level from the recommendation results is higher than four on a scale of 1 to 5. Thus, it can be considered a good recommendation. Furthermore, the NER model performance is comparable to another related research.
