JOSE M. PASTOR received his MSc Degree in Automatic Control Engineering from the Polytechnic Univ. of Madrid (UPM) in 1991 and Ph.D. in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in 1997 from UPM. In 2000, he became an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Automatics at Univ. Carlos III of Madrid, and he moved in 2005 to the Dept. of Informatic Systems, Univ. de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM). His teaching disciplines include robotics, computation, programming and communications. His research interests include machine learning, artificial intelligence, biomedical sensors, sensor networks, wearables and IoT. He has published more than 50 scientific contributions and serves as an investigator for research projects. Nowadays, he is the Director of the Research Institute of Audiovisual Technologies and member of the Biomedical, Electronics and Telecommunication Research Group at UCLM (director 2018-2023).
